Rallying Together for Key Assets Kentucky
Last month, Eastern Kentucky was devastated by tornados. The Key Assets Office in Salyersville Kentucky took a direct hit and was completely demolished.
In spite of this loss, Kentucky’s Key Assets staff rallied the Mt Sterling Community and got nearly $1000 dollars in donations within a day. The staff and all their neighbors on Main Street, put together truckloads of supplies, gasoline vouchers and food for the ravaged Eastern Kentucky Community that was the site of their former office.
Donations were made directly to the local authority to ensure the families in the greatest need were the recipients. The Local Authority supervisor was overcome with emotion and told staff how proud she was to have community partners that really cared.
CEO, Chris Groeber said, “I don’t think I have ever been prouder to be affiliated with such a great group of colleagues or to be a Main Street merchant. When people were in need, Main Street in Mt Sterling heeded the call and went to work. Today we made a difference.”
